2015 marks the 55th anniversary of The Strange World Of Gurney Slade, possibly the most unusual series ever covered on this site. A vehicle conceived by its star Anthony Newley, it casts him as "Gurney Slade", an ATV sitcom actor who walks out of his own middle-of-the-road sitcom and into adventures of his own imagining.
