Jessica Brown, The Independent, 25th May 2017Peter Kay's Car Share: a rare treat of a sitcom
With series two over and no further episodes on the horizon, we salute funny, warm, clever sitcom Peter Kay's Car Share...
Gem Wheeler, Den Of Geek, 3rd May 2017Come on Kay, give Car Share fans the ending we deserve
A festive special - where Car Share Lancastrian lovebirds finally kiss under the supermarket mistletoe - would be just the Christmas gift the nation needs. Pass the Quality Street and cue up that Marillion ballad.
Michael Hogan, The Telegraph, 3rd May 2017The second run of the brilliant car-set sitcom draws to a close. As it begins, John is leaving his nan at his house to wait indoors for a parcel delivery ("Sky's on, and there's quiche in the fridge"), before heading over to pick up Kayleigh (the excellent Sian Gibson), who has somehow locked herself in her house. Despite umpteen laughs, this is ultimately an episode that deals with some of the bigger issues outside the pair's unusually compact world.
Hannah J Davies, The Guardian, 2nd May 2017No Series 3 for Peter Kay's Car Share
Peter Kay has said that there won't be any more episodes of his hit sitcom Car Share. He said: "You've got to get out while the going's good."
British Comedy Guide, 2nd May 2017Peter Kay's Car Share restores your faith in humanity
I clutch at John and Kayleigh's potential for happiness as if at straws.
Rachel Cooke, The New Statesman, 2nd May 2017Come on Peter Kay, give us a Car Share Xmas special
We don't need a third series of the BBC sitcom - but surely there has to be one more festive spin left in Forever FM and the Fiat 500?
Frances Taylor, Radio Times, 2nd May 2017Episode two of Tom Binns's hospital comedy and DJ Ivan Brackenbury causes panic by dressing up as the Lone Ranger for charity. Enter Sian Gibson of Car Share fame as Hilary, head of hospital security, who's charged with implementing a security clampdown. A mockumentary where the plotting drifts but sharp dialogue abounds. Self-regarding manager Susan Mitchell ponders the beds crisis: "Can you look into the feasibility of bunk beds? Just seems so obvious - and fun."
Jonathan Wright, The Guardian, 28th April 2017TV review: Hospital People, Episode Two, BBC1
If you want simple sitcom laughs you can't go far wrong with Hospital People.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 27th April 2017After debuting as a complete boxset on BBC iPlayer, season two of Peter Kay's superb supermini-set sitcom continues its terrestrial run. John is looking forward to a day trip to Wigan for a full English with an old store manager pal under the pretext of dropping off some work bumf. Kayleigh, however, has other ideas, deftly pulling a sickie from her supermarket shift so they can both reap the benefits of a Dairylea Dunkers 2-for-1 days out offer.
