A mammoth 121 comedy shows at this year's Edinburgh Fringe programme boast that their performers have won awards, from Derek Awards (given by a bloke with 600 followers on Twitter) to Emmys. Here are just ten of them.

Sallyann Fellowes has been crowned the winner of the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year 2023 competition. Christian Jegard was runner-up, with Hugh Peacocke third.

The Halls Of Ridiculous Chris Lumb (BBC Three: Russell Howard's Good News) and Phil Allan-Smith (BBC One: This Is My House) took home the trophy, with a really unusual double act which left the audience roaring with laughter. Runner-up on the night was Sallyann Fellowes, from Egham in Surrey. A regular on the stand-up circuit she brought "an unpredictable, unique brand of comedy weirdness". Third was Dave Wilder. Based in Brighton, by day Dave is a best-selling, award-winning author.
