Ofcom is investigating more than 50 complaints alleging that ITV1 comedy Moving Wallpaper was offensive to transsexuals.

Channel 4 has commissioned a seventh series of Bafta-winning sitcom Peep Show before the sixth series has even aired. C4 entertainment and comedy head Andrew Newman confirmed that Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong's sitcom would return for a further series, which is slated for next year. It is next due on screens this summer.

BBC Radio 4 is tightening up its editorial control of indie Avalon's output after the BBC Trust upheld a complaint about satirical comedy Political Animal. In an episode of the show broadcast in June last year, a Palestinian woman was referred to as "being punched to pieces by a very angry Jew". The Trust's investigation into the item was prompted by a listener complaint that the word Jew was used in an offensive way.
