TV preview: Inside No. 9, Wise Owl, BBC Two

All I can suggest is that whatever you think of the series so far you should watch this episode. Though it probably means you'll be sleeping with the light on tonight.

Love the BBC as we do for being the home of Inside No. 9, scripts as ingenious as A Random Act Of Kindness deserve more investment.

Inside No. 9 - 7.5 review: A Random Act Of Kindness

The episodes of Inside No. 9 that I enjoy most are those with real emotional stakes, and the ones that manage to take you completely by surprise, - A Random Act Of Kindness does both, and is one of the most successful episodes of this series.

Inside No. 9 - 7.4 review: Kid|Nap

The great thing about an anthology show like Inside No. 9 is you can have a misfire one week, and then follow it up with a great episode without missing a beat. "Kid|Nap" is a return to form of sorts, with strong performances across the board, and some extraordinarily suspenseful moments.

Inside No. 9, 10 and 11? This kidnap thriller with a top guest cast of Daisy Haggard, Daniel Mays and Jason Isaacs bends the rules.

Inside No. 9 7.3 review: Nine Lives Kat

When an episode of Inside No. 9 goes wrong it tends to be for one of two reasons, either the story itself was uninteresting, with an obvious twist, or the writers tried to do too much with their limited running time. "Nine Lives Kat" is most definitely a case of the latter - it's a little too ambitious for it's own good but I'd still rather have an experimental failure than a plodding safe bet. Seven seasons in, Shearsmith and Pemberton are still playing around with the format and audience expectations, which in itself is reassuring.

Inside No. 9, Nine Lives Kat, review: too clever by half

The latest episode of the BBC's anthology struggled for pace and stuck in far too many competing twists and turns.

Inside No. 9 Series 7 Episode 3 review: Nine Lives Kat

Sophie Okonedo guest stars in a cliché-riddled episode of Inside No. 9 filled with generic characters and terrible dialogue.
