Peter Jones wins Beat The Frog World Series 2023 competition
Australian comedian Peter Jones has won the Beat The Frog World Series 2023 new act competition. The runner-up was Daniel McCreanor, with Qasim Akhtar taking the panel prize.

Last night's Beat The Frog World Series final, however, was much closer to call. Any number of the acts could have taken the title without controversy, having bought various talents to the stage.

Elsewhere, Patreesha (Jacqueline Boatswain) makes a discovery as she tries to get sister Avril a job at the car wash, and the police come after Kassi (Jalaal Hartley). At least an arrest might mean more screen-time for his wife Esther (Isy Suttie), who's been a welcome addition to the show's frankly bonkers final run.
