Glasgow International Comedy Festival Closing Gala review
Glasgow's comedy festival has always attracted a wealth of great acts and been a strong showcase for upcoming local comics. But it's arguably never had the defining tentpole events of a festival like Leicester. Or the close, distilled festival spirit of much smaller rivals such as Machynlleth or the Cat Laughs in Kilkenny.

Organisers have said that alongside the presentation of the first ever Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, Janey Godley and Paul Black will be joined by comedians Liam Farrelly, Marc Jennings, Scott Agnew, Weegie Hink Ae That?! and Jay Lafferty - all ably compered by Susie McCabe. Judy Murray and the third Murray brother, Duncan, are also set to appear. More acts are still to be announced.
