Olympia Christofinis is a writer, producer and development producer.
Olympia is an emerging Syrian-Cypriot writer-producer who grew up in Jordan and is now based in the UK. A storyteller at heart, she started in journalism before migrating to film and TV. Since graduating from the National Film & Television School in 2020, she has been selected for the BAFTA Connect scheme (2023), nominated for an Edinburgh TV Festival New Voice Award in the All3Media Best Comedy Script category (2022), won a Royal Television Society National Student Award for her comedy pilot (2021), selected for the SAFAR Film Development Workshop (2022), awarded a bursary to the National Theatre Playwriting Course (2020), longlisted for the Funny Women Comedy Writing Awards (2021), and shortlisted for Girls in Film x BFI Network mentorship (2021). She is driven to change the narrative surrounding MENA+ identity in western media and tell emotionally-driven stories that reflect the multiplicity of identity in her work.
