James Acaster's Hecklers Welcome special will air on Sky Comedy, the channel has announced.
The stand-up show, made for US broadcaster HBO, will go out on 10th December in the UK, after receiving its international premiere on Saturday.
Filmed at the Royal & Derngate Theatre in Northampton, close to Acaster's home town of Kettering, the show explores the comic's "love/hate relationship with stand-up by relinquishing control of his set and accepting a healthy dose of audience interference".
Acaster said: "Performing in the round, in a theatre I went to growing up, with the audience chipping in whenever they felt like it, meant this was the most I've enjoyed filming a special.
"Also I jumped onto the stage via a trampoline and I don't want that to go unacknowledged."
Sky Comedy aired Acaster's previous special Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 last year.
An audio version of Hecklers Welcome was released as a limited-edition vinyl in the UK earlier this month.
The show was produced and directed by comedian Stuart Laws, of Turtle Canyon Comedy. Alastair Clayton, Amy Tuckwell and Nick Long also co-produce.

James Acaster - Hecklers Welcome
Dubbed 'the strongest show of his career' by The Times, with the Daily Telegraph calling it 'one of the funniest and most brilliantly constructed shows of the year', Hecklers Welcome saw a return to stand-up for Acaster, the critically acclaimed comedian, actor, Sunday Times best-selling author and co-host of the hit podcast Off Menu.
Touring the show throughout 2023-2024, Hecklers Welcome saw Acaster recount the formative childhood experiences at the root of his love/hate relationship with performance, whilst obliging himself to embrace any interruptions from the audience. Heckles, phone checks, popping to the loo - Acaster would have to accept the direction in which those audience disruptions may take the show, even if it meant deviating from his meticulously crafted stand-up.
First released: Friday 1st November 2024
