Strictly signs Sarah Hadland
Sarah Hadland, the comic actress best known for her role in sitcom Miranda, will compete in Strictly Come Dancing later this year.
The ninth contestant confirmed by the BBC for the show's 20th anniversary series, she has an extensive background across film, theatre and television, with other roles including That Mitchell And Webb Look, Horrible Histories, Bleak Expectations, The Job Lot, Saxondale and Peep Show.
Sarah Hadland says: "I cannot believe I am part of Strictly! I feel particularly excited to be part of such an iconic show in its 20th year. I'm so ready for the glitz, glam and glitter and hopefully I can make everyone watching at home proud!"
The series is expected to begin in mid-September and will run until Christmas.
Hadland joins other stars on the show including blind stand-up Chris McCausland. The final competitors will be announced by the BBC in the coming days.
