Les Dennis joins Strictly Come Dancing 2023 line-up

Les Dennis has been announced as the fifteenth and final celebrity contestant confirmed for this year's Strictly Come Dancing series.

The comedian and actor has been in showbusiness for over 50 years, including famously hosting Family Fortunes for 16 years. He started his career as a comedian on the working men's club circuit in and around his native Liverpool, before getting his big break on TV talent show New Faces. He went on to star in sketch and variety format The Laughter Show, forming a double-act with the late Dustin Gee.

His TV career since has included The All Star Impressions Show, Extras, Life's Too Short, Coronation Street and guest appearances on many sitcoms and panel shows, whilst his stage CV includes work for the Royal Shakespeare Company, the English National Opera, and in hit plays and musicals such as Hairspray, Legally Blonde The Musical and 42nd Street.

Series 21 of Strictly Come Dancing, due to launch on BBC One this autumn, will also feature actor Amanda Abbington, presenter Angela Rippon, actor Layon Williams, newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy, comedian Eddie Kadi, presenter Angela Scanlon, content creator Zara McDermott, actor Adam Thomas, radio host Nikita Kanda, actor Ellie Leach, cyclist Jody Cundy, model Bobby Brazier, actor Nigel Harman and former tennis player Annabel Croft.
