Nick Frost will narrate Best In The World, a clip show for CBBC which focuses on world records.

The format, which has been described as a "play along format that reinvents the clip show", showcases the most spectacular Guinness World Records titles, with the Spaced and Hot Fuzz star providing "properly funny commentary, as the viewer is invited to guess the winner, what just happened, or work out what weird record is about to take place."

The BBC says: "Best In The World is the entertainment clip show that invites CBBC viewers to play along at home with Guinness World Records. We showcase the greatest and wackiest record breakers in hilarious guessing games - can you forecast the winner, solve what just happened or master how to take on a title at home?".

A total of 40 episodes have been made, each 15 minutes in length. A batch of 20 will air from the end of this month, with the other 20 scheduled to broadcast from January 2023.

Best In The World

The series has been made by Electric Robin, the production company that has previously worked on formats such as Comedy Central At The Edinburgh Fringe.

Series producer Bob Fletcher told British Comedy Guide: "It's really fun and I think comedy fans would approve. It's the sort of show you'd love to watch and play versus your kids."

Best In The World starts on CBBC at 3:20pm on Monday 31st October, airing every week day. The first episode, titled Truckstar Slamdown, features "monster truck mayhem and some very clever canines".
