Stars pay tribute to Ronnie Corbett in Westminster
- Ronnie Corbett has been honoured in a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey
- Fans joined with colleagues, family and friends to remember and celebrate the "10 foot giant" of comedy
- Ronnie's famous monologue chair - poignantly empty - was placed in front of the altar
Family, friends, celebrities and members of the public turned out to pay tribute to comedy great Ronnie Corbett CBE at Westminster Abbey today.
The star, who died in March 2016 at the age of 85, was honoured with a special service of thanksgiving at the historic church, including readings, prayers, reminiscences and music.
The famous chair from Ronnie's much-loved monologues was placed near the Abbey's altar, as were four candles.
Special tributes were paid by Jimmy Tarbuck OBE and Rob Brydon MBE, with Joanna Lumley OBE reading 1 Corinthians 13. Sir Michael Parkinson had been due to give an additional reading but was ill and unable to attend.
Dame Penelope Keith attended on behalf of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, representing the Duke of York.

Other stars in attendance included June Whitfield, David Walliams, Nina Wadia, Lee Mack, Graham Norton, Julian Clary, Ben Elton, Patricia Hodge, Stephen Fry, Barry Cryer, Michael Crawford, Su Pollard, Jim Howick, Richard Wilson, Patricia Routledge, Harry Hill, Guy Siner, David Janson, Peter Bowles, Dame Barbara Windsor, Liza Tarbuck, Gyles Brandreth, Nicholas Parsons, Rosemarie Ford, Robert Lindsay, Shobu Kapoor, Jo Brand, Diane Morgan and Jimmy Patton.
Others included producers and entertainment executives past and present, such as Greg Dyke, current BBC Director-General Tony Hall, Paul Jackson, Jon Plowman, Harold Snoad, Ben Caudell and Alan Yentob.
