Omid Djalili launches England World Cup song
Omid Djalili has released a song today to tie in with the World Cup.
England's Going Out... (To Do It Again) is a collaboration between the comedian and Rick Blaskey, the producer who has previously worked with Baddiel & Skinner to create the hit song Three Lions.
The anthem, which features the lyrics "we still believe", has received support from a number of comedians. Jack Dee, Terry Alderton and Ricky Grover appear in the music video, with David Baddiel, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop, Harry Hill, Sean Lock, Bill Bailey and more having filmed short inserts to be added into the video too.
Djalili explains: "I'm very proud to be releasing the Fans' Football Anthem. We want to ensure that being supportive and having faith and hope in the lads will help to fire them up for the World Cup. Rick Blaskey my producer has been brilliant to work with. He has produced all the big anthems over the years including Three Lions and Swing Low, so we've worked really hard together to come up with something special. Thanks to all my friends who have participated in the video so generously and at such short notice."
