Review: Travels With My Father, Netflix
Jack Whitehall's latest comic travelogue with his curmudgeonly dad Michael in tow is set in Australia, but apart from the location everything else here is pretty much the same. Childish humour, grumpy parent, beautiful scenery.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 25th September 2020Jack Whitehall's Father's Day review
Jack and his father Whitehall had their hearts in the right place, but this special was a little too performative.

Chortle, 24th October 2019Review: Jack Whitehall - Travels With My Father
There are plenty of laughs and nobody is getting hurt so what's the problem? If you don't like the sound of it don't watch it. I'm not trying to bend over backwards to say nice things about this instalment, it's genuinely enjoyable.

British Comedy Guide, 10th June 2019Review: Travels With My Father, series 2, episode 1
After a first series in which Jack Whitehall and his perma-grumpy dad tried to live out Jack's gap year fantasies in the Far East the second series find the Whitehalls closer to home and adventuring around Europe. Not that this is going to keep the budget down because Michael will, of course, insist on travelling in expensive style wherever he goes.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 30th September 2018The Whitehalls' holiday snapping wears thin
The travels feel very scripted and unspontaneous as father and son niggle each other.
Jeff Robson, i Newspaper, 28th September 2018Jack Whitehall 'regrets lewd Queen joke'
Comedian Jack Whitehall has said he regrets making a crass joke about the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
BBC, 4th February 2018Review: Backing Into The Spotlight by Michael Whitehall
Who would have thought Nigel Havers' agent would have published not one, but two volumes of memoirs? That's twice as many as the actor himself.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 12th December 2017Jack Whitehall's Travels sees the posh banter fly
The travel show gives a hilarious insight into the relationship between the comedian and his openly critical father Michael, and I'm already looking forward to the rest.
