Sir Michael Palin CBE is an English actor, comedian, writer and television presenter. He formed a creative partnership with Terry Jones in the mid-1960s, creating, writing and acting in various sketch, satire and childrens' comedy programmes, leading the duo to became part of the new Monty Python group. A string of successful TV and film roles followed, and since 1989 has fronted a range of popular and acclaimed international travel documentaries.
