Seven sketch comedy shows to see at the 2015 Fringe
The sketchiest beasts hitting this year's festival.
Ben Williams, Time Out, 10th July 2015Review - Max & Ivan: The End
Crucially, the busy plot is driven forward by a two high-wattage performances - not least a surprisingly athletic sex scene that shows off their physical skills to great advantage. Aptly for a show about nuclear meltdown, it's a blast.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 20th April 2015The Casebook of Max and Ivan is a new, daft comedy series from Max Olesker and Iván González that boasts some top supporting talent (June Whitfield in the first episode, Reece Shearsmith, Matt Lucas and Jessica Hynes coming up). It's a sprightly, silly show that reminds me a little bit of Milton Jones (though not as surreal), and when everyone calms down a bit, it'll be very good.
Miranda Sawyer, The Observer, 12th April 2015Review: Max and Ivan in Australia
UK sketch comics Max Olesker and Ivan Gonzalez turn their wits to the emotional maelstrom of the high school reunion.
Rebecca Harkins-Cross, The Age, 30th March 2014On the brink of making it big
A few months ago Max Olesker and Ivan Gonzalez, both 27, were sitting in a dank East London flat poring over lines and comedic pauses. Now they're in the running to win one of Britain's most prestigious comedy awards.
Stephen Eisenhammer, Reuters, 23rd August 2013Max and Ivan fly the flag for British comedy in Texas
"We're the only non-Americans flying over", says Max Olesker.
Alice Jones, The Independent, 7th March 2013Wrestle mania! An interview with Max and Ivan
World-class wrestlers meet world-class comedians. Ahead of one of the most talked about shows at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe, Emma McAlpine talks to its creators Max and Ivan.
