Radio Times Top 40 TV Shows of 2015, #19:
Matt Berry's ghastly, narcissistic but strangely lovable actor has now blared his way through three series, but the inventiveness and sheer silliness of this surreal sitcom shows no sign of getting less funny. The ideas kept coming in series three, which saw the luvvie take on the "feminists" by judging a beauty competition, and then fall for the charisma of Jon Hamm: getting the Mad Men star was quite a coup, but he loves this show. Toast Of London showed that old fashioned daftness still has a place - both in the hip late-night schedules of C4 and the comedy world in general.
Ben Dowell, Radio Times, 29th December 2015Toast of London Series 3 DVD review
Pure comedic gold with a classic feel, Toast of London is irreverent, clever and unmistakably British. The writing and supporting talent are phenomenal but it's the genius of Matt Berry that brings it all together, handing in performances of effortless charm and verve every time.
Jason Palmer, Entertainment Focus, 26th December 2015Due to what appears to be a somewhat glaring career omission, Matt Berry's wonderful Toast is humiliated by his bitterest rival, Ray Purchase, (Harry Peacock) at the Colonial club, after it emerges he's never trodden the boards at the Globe theatre. Handily, it has just recruited a new director, the young maverick Daz Klondyke, who recruits Toast for a radical reworking of Twelfth Night, featuring a cast of mostly dogs. Of course, things don't quite go to plan in a turn of events that could threaten Toast's very career. Last in the current series.

Harry Hill returns as the multi-spectacled boffin of Norman Hunter's children's books. After Branestawm's TV introduction last Christmas, his cartoonish adventures are once again adapted by in-demand writer Charlie Higson. This time the chocolate-box village of Pagwell is, fortuitously, hosting an invention contest. But has Branestawm met his match in the ingenious Professor Algebrain (Steve Pemberton)?
Among an extraordinary cast giving fruity performances are Diana Rigg, Simon Day, Vicki Pepperdine, Matt Berry and his absurd intonations, Sophie Thompson and David Mitchell. From the clips available to RT, it's wildly eccentric, old-school and very funny - with a barking mad chase sequence.
