Hi Lisa. Who are you and what do you do in comedy?
Hello. I'm Lisa. I'm a credited writer of additional material for Breaking The News and am in the process of writing a sketch show and sitcom.
What was the first comedy that resonated with you personally?
I grew up watching the Morecambe and Wise Show. I loved Eric's silliness.
Tell us your favourite joke, sketch or routine.
My very favourite joke is the one I told my children when they were little and it would make them roar with laughter.
Knock knock
Who's there?
Interrupting cow
Interrupting...
MOOO
What's your proudest moment, in terms of your comedy work?
Getting my very first TV credit. Breaking The News, Series 14, Episode 3. It's such a silly little gag, on the subject of AI. Meep.
What's the best advice you've ever been given, read or heard?
Jennifer Saunders said wring every bit of funny out of every single scene. That's stuck and is helping enormously as I wrestle with my sitcom.
What are your hopes for your current comedy projects?
I would love to work collaboratively with writers and producers to develop my sketch show and sitcom and have them commissioned.
If you ever get free time, how do you spend it?
Writing or whizzing round a race track in a rally car
If you ever get free time, how do you spend it?
I've been single for a really long time. A hug would be nice. I hold my own hand in bed at night. It's very sad. Or a lifetime supply of Curly Wurlies.
