Lenny Henry CBE is an English comedian, actor and campaigner. Achieving fame in the 1970s, he found continued success through the alternative comedy boom of the 1980s and starred in numerous sitcoms and sketch shows. Toward the end of the decade he was instrumental in founding the Comic Relief charity and campaigns, and in the 2010s took on a number of acclaimed Shakespearean roles on stage.
