Jack Seale, The Guardian, 9th January 2020This sitcom has long delivered strong festive episodes, and this year's is no different. It should have been a simple Christmas Eve shopping trip to buy an inflatable Santa. Instead, it turns into an endless shaggy dog story, involving petty theft, an aggressive bull, a sinister truck driver and a cargo ship. Can Lee save the day? Steve Bennett, Chortle, 30th October 2019TV preview: Not Going Out Halloween Special, BBC One
Is Lee Mack trying to muscle in on Inside No 9 territory? This Halloween edition of the enduring light-hearted domestic sitcom has scarier ambitions than usual. It is even scheduled later than it usually goes out. Although don't worry too much about the kids having nightmares. I'm sure they watch nastier stuff on their phones in bed.

British Comedy Guide, 8th October 2019Brydon, Mack and Mitchell - Brighton Dome, review
Each comedian has moments throughout the show that serves as a reminder of their impressive talents; Lee Mack's upholding of the show as a whole. Rob Brydon's impressions are, for the most part, hilarious. David Mitchell's solving of each dilemma, one in particular with hard, unforgiving logic is a particular highlight. It's just a shame that these were only glimpses of brilliance in an otherwise insipid performance.
Craig Unadkat, The Reviews Hub, 3rd October 2019Brydon, Mack & Mitchell review
Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell take the off-the-cuff gags of Would I Lie To You? on the road for a nonessential but entertaining night of comedy.
Brian Logan, The Guardian, 30th September 2019Brydon, Mack and Mitchell, Portsmouth Guildhall review
