BBC Comedy Festival will be in Cardiff on 24th to 26th May

The second annual BBC Comedy Festival - which features sessions for comedy creatives - will take place in Cardiff from Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th May.

In My Skin takes three awards at BAFTA Cymru

Coming-of-age drama In My Skin has won three awards at the BAFTA Cymru film and TV awards ceremony. It claimed best television drama, author Kayleigh Llewellyn took best writer and Molly Manners won best director fiction.

Best actor went to Owen Teale for Dream Horse.

Motherland has won Best Scripted Comedy in the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards. The other comedy-related winners were Sophie Willan, Jamie Demetriou, In My Skin, The Lateish Show With Mo Gilligan and Big Zuu's Big Eats. This story includes the videos of the acceptance speeches.

In My Skin review

I hesitated about reviewing the second series of In My Skin. While I've seen it described as a comedy drama I watched the first episode and felt that there wasn't much of a comedy element to it. On reflection though I concluded that it is so good, so powerful and so destined to scoop up a handful of awards and is not getting as much coverage as it clearly deserves I should chip in.
