Originally hailing from Massachusetts, Julie finds herself in London via Newcastle via Wales via New York via France via Ohio via France again via Virginia, which leads us back to - you guessed it - Massachusetts. With a background in journalism and an M.A. in scriptwriting, she quickly threw it all away for a life in stand-up comedy.
In her stand-up, she's captivatingly cantankerous as she shares absurd anecdotes and observations. A talented writer, she broke into the top 10% of the Red Planet Prize with her darkly comedic neo-noir "Jabberwocky" and has been featured in ElleUK, among other publications.
She was chosen by ElleUK as a runner-up in their talent competition, and some of her work can be heard on BBC Radio 4. She's currently writing and performing with the sketch comedy group Box of Charms (who won the BCG December sketch competition with "Scream Box") and can be seen in the award-winning comedy/horror short "Pistachio".
