Amy Howerska, sassy comedian raised by trained killers
Comedian Amy Howerska's Edinburgh Fringe show in August will be called Sasspot. The publicity blurb for it says she was "raised by a pack of trained killers". This understates the truth quite considerably.
John Fleming, John Fleming's Blog, 13th June 2015Fringe act quits PBH Free Fringe over the Cowgatehead
So I received an e-mail from Mark Davison. "You mentioned a few blog entries ago that you weren't sure if anyone would withdraw from PBH as a result of the Cowgatehead fiasco, so I wanted to give you first refusal on publishing my own statement of withdrawal."

He told me: "There are a load of people - I was talking to them this morning - they've re-applied to the PBH Free Fringe and haven't heard anything back and they're waiting on Freestival stuff and it's just... "You mentioned in your act at the Awards," I told him in Borehamwood this week, "that you look a bit like David Mitchell." "I don't get mistaken for him in the street but, when I say it in gigs, there's enough people who go: Ah! That's what it is!"

"Yes," he told me. "He's going to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Comedy Cafe by doing a gig on Wednesday 3rd June for the orphanage in Nepal."
