British Comedy Guide, 13th February 2020Ten series into Channel 4's council estate drama and the unthinkable has happened - the unemployable perennial scrounger Frank Gallagher has been forced to get a job in a grimy burger restaurant. Tonight's premiere is more a continuation of series nine which was cut short due to scheduling (something we'd expect from the comparatively tame American remake) and it's the same, cringe-inducing affair, improved by a hilarious turn from John Bradley - better known as Game Of Thrones' hapless Samwell Tarly - as Gallagher's bitter new boss. Elsewhere, Shane and Jackson have taken to brewing bootleg booze - which is frankly less Shameless, more Lawless.
