Review: Sara Pascoe - Animal

A high point of the night for the Glasgow audience was a recollection of an altercation that Sara Pascoe had with a fan who wanted a selfie. A mixture of shock and hysterics as we learnt that it is never a good idea to show others photos on our phones without checking what is coming next.

Review - Patrick Monahan: The Disco Years

Leaving the audience smiling from ear-to-ear throughout the night, Patrick Monahan's The Disco Years is a unique and energetic evening of comedy, dancing and laughter.

Review - Adam Hills: Clown Heart

Billed as one of the top names at this year's Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Aussie comedian Adam Hills does not disappoint.

Review: Omid Djalili

As promised in his recent interview for TV Bomb, Djalili uses this Glasgow International Comedy Festival show to reflect upon many of the 21st century problems that one faces in contemporary society. His set covers just about every geographical area of the world; from jokes about Donald Trump and the US presidency, to doing gigs abroad in Malta and Qatar, and even discussing the recent benefit changes outlined in last week's budget. The highly current issue of ISIS and Syria features heavily in the night. Whilst discussing these often bleak facts, Omid is truthful, yet manages to find comedy in these dark areas without laughing at the expense of those who have suffered. A rather impressive feat.

Glasgow International Comedy Festival is just around the corner. Outside of the Fringe, it's the most concentrated dose of comedy we get in Scotland and we can't wait. In preparation, TV Bomb's very own comedy talent, Joe Gardner, spoke to Patrick Monahan, a familiar Fringe face, as he gets ready to bring his show The Disco Years back to Scotland...

Joe Gardner interview

Scotland's funniest teenager is urging youngsters to tackle the trials of growing up by getting on a stage and telling jokes. Joe Gardner, 17, is hosting the city's first teenage comedy night today where he will give young people the chance to try stand-up.

Joe Gardner: the teenage comedy complex

Being a stand-up's not easy. It's even harder when you're liable to get ID'd at your own gig. Joe Gardner, winner of last year's Class Clowns competition for young comics at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, isn't letting that stop him. This month he launches Glasgow's first Teenage Comedy Night at Café GRO to give a platform to others in his position. With a big 2016 in store, he tells us more...
