Based on the real-life experiences of writers Shaun Pye and Sarah Crawford, whose daughter was born with an extremely rare chromosomal disorder, the show charts a dual timeline of Rosie's development at the ages of three and 11 in this second season. In this first episode, Rosie, age 11, speaks her first word, prompting hopes that full communication might be around the corner.
