Nanny review - light comedy about the dreams and day jobs of a double act
This play with songs has pleasing performances but needs a clearer idea of what it wants to satirise.
Gareth Llŷr Evans, The Guardian, 8th February 2024How TV's The Windsors is making its unregal stage debut
The Windsors has been running on Channel 4 since 2016 - a wild comic satire which has always put the rude before the regal. Now the show's transferring to the stage in London, with some of the TV cast.
Vincent Dowd, BBC, 10th August 2021First look at cast pictures for The Windsors: Endgame

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 9th July 2021Review: Fleabag - Series Two
Before going into this review I should state that I have one major problem with Fleabag: other critics. When the first series aired in 2016, one of the most famous scenes is of the title character played by the show's writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, masturbating to footage of Barack Obama. Similarly, the critics are so fawning in their praise of this comedy that in my head just about every single newspaper TV critic in Britain is secretly wanking off to Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Ian Wolf, On The Box, 4th March 2019TV review: Fleabag, BBC Three, Episode 6
I'm reluctant to review the final episode of Fleabag. I don't want to give anything away. All I should really say is that you should watch it. And if you haven't watched the first five episodes catch up immediately.
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 25th August 2016Fleabag: modern life is rubbish is BBC3's newest comedy
Greedy. Perverted. Selfish. Apathetic. Cynical. Depraved. Just some of the adjectives that the titular Fleabag uses to describe her life in the opening episode of this new BBC3 sitcom and over the course of the half hour, she definitely manages to tick the boxes on all of the above.
Colin McMahon, The Custard TV, 21st July 2016BBC Three orders Fleabag series
BBC Three has ordered Fleabag, a six-part comedy series from Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator of Channel 4's Crashing.
