Comedians announced for Glasgow Comedy Festival Closing Gala

Organisers have said that alongside the presentation of the first ever Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, Janey Godley and Paul Black will be joined by comedians Liam Farrelly, Marc Jennings, Scott Agnew, Weegie Hink Ae That?! and Jay Lafferty - all ably compered by Susie McCabe. Judy Murray and the third Murray brother, Duncan, are also set to appear. More acts are still to be announced.

Edinburgh institution gets an earlier start time - and an all-female MC roster

In a major change, the start time has been moved to 11.30pm, 90 minutes earlier than the slot it has traditionally. It will now be done by 1.30am, rather than 5am as in the past. This year's hosts are Thanyia Moore, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Jay Lafferty and Lou Conran.
