Jay was born in London and raised in Bristol to dual heritage parentage. He studied Performing Arts at Bath Spa University, graduating pretentiously with a First Class BA (hons) in 2007. He then went on to co-found Hammerpuzzle Theatre company, Reel People Films, and most recently Wolfpack Productions. This was to compensate once losing a Willy Wonker "nerd" up his nose at the age of 12. This has still yet to be found.
Jay's comedy chops were developed whilst excelling in Comedy, Clowning, and Improv classes, and then later when cast in comedic roles for theatre. Jay remains convinced that as a "serious" actor his ambition to play the role of Older Prince Harry in The Crown is his for the taking.
Jay began producing, directing, and writing online digital comedy content for Wolfpack Productions, producing several award-winning mini-series including Outside the Box, MidnightMiracle, and #sketchpack. Most recently Jay was awarded a "Special Mention" at London Worldwide Comedy Festival 2020 as director for his short film Barista and was a finalist in Shore Scripts TV Pilot Contest 2020 for his comedy-horror script Hypsteries.
