Jane Postlethwaite is a Queer Stand Up Comedian and Writer from Cumbria. She's written and performed character comedy, stand up and sketch shows for Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe and the Women in Comedy Festival. Her work has been heard on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Cumbria. It has been nominated and got her through to the finals and heats of various comedy awards.

Her past experience includes producing a successful comedy night called "Bad Book Project" in Brighton and putting together a collaborative podcast called "Character Building" which includes sketches and monologues from women.

She runs So Hilarious a comedy night in Manchester which showcases women and LGBTQI+ comedians.

In August 2024 she did a split hour of stand up comedy with the show, "Mary, Jack & Jane - a Queer Adventure" for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Her one hour stand up show, "Terrible People" got sold out audiences at Brighton Fringe 2024 and was nominated for the "Big Gay Show" Award from Lamb Comedy. The show will next be coming to the Women in Comedy in Manchester in October.

Her new paranormal queer comedy podcast is called, "All the Terrible Things" and is where she shares the spooky stories of LGBTQI+ Folk.

Jane Postlethwaite's Made In Cumbria is absolutely hilarious. The audience were in stitches!!
