Cold Feet is now a mature series in every sense of the word: it is beginning its ninth season and dealing with the triumphs and traumas of ongoing middle age. As we return, Jenny (Fay Ripley) has reached the end of her cancer treatment and James Nesbitt's Adam has landed himself in trouble at work.
Phil Harrison, The Guardian, 13th January 2020Mike Bullen says Cold Feet is taking break amid pay row
Fay Ripley says wages still vary between her and co-stars Hermione Norris, James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst and John Thomson.

British Comedy Guide, 20th June 2019Cold Feet has finally become must-watch TV
The drama about middle-class Mancunians has hit its stride at long last - thanks largely to a love affair that's been bubbling under since the 90s.
Sarah Hughes, The Guardian, 18th February 2019Cold Feet, episode 6: review
James Nesbitt's Adam has finally grown up - his relationship with Karen (Hermione Norris/p]) has been a highlight in a superlative series.
Sarah Hughes, i Newspaper, 18th February 2019I am surprisingly glad to see Cold Feet back. Mike Bullen's writing can still startle and, on occasion, delight. True, there are tribes on alien planets, never exposed to this "telly" thing, who could have, within 10 minutes, and possessed of a decent broadband width, identified the likelihood that the way-too-young barista fancied by James Nesbitt was, rather than aching to be hit on by a 50-year-old with dyed hair transplants, actually going out with his son. Cue the biggest non-shock since Theresa May wasn't voted Dancing Icon of the Year by EU! magazine. But did anyone see coming that first smidgen of a hint of something more... between Adam and Karen? Honestly? Really?
Euan Ferguson, The Guardian, 20th January 2019Cold Feet beginning to show its age
The old gang are back - again - but the frailties of middle age make for more mordant TV than the mishaps of youth.
Sean O'Grady, The Independent, 14th January 2019ITV orders Series 8 of Cold Feet
ITV has ordered an eighth series of Cold Feet. It will screen six more episodes in 2018. The news follows on from over 5 million viewers watching the last series.
British Comedy Guide, 31st October 2017This 90s throwback is ageing gracefully, with midlife crises, perfect kitchens and teenage pregnancies thrown into the mix. Adam (James Nesbitt) is off on a team-building exercise and his eyebrows have been flirting with a cheeky colleague for weeks. What will happen when he spends the night away from Tina? Elsewhere, Karen (Hermione Norris) is buckling under the pressure of her complicated work and home life, despite hapless ex David's offer of help.
Hannah Verdier, The Guardian, 6th October 2017More midlife-crisis drama from a show that once felt like an event, but now bumbles along in inoffensive and unremarkable style. It still boasts a cast of middlebrow troupers (including James Nesbitt, Hermione Norris and Fay Ripley) with decent chemistry, but feels oddly flat. The emotional heart of this new run looks to be Adam and Tina's agonising over starting a family; whether that will be enough to sustain viewer engagement remains to be seen.
