James Tangye was born and raised in Crawley. Despite this setback, James is fast becoming a household name (within the few households who come to see their shows).
After failing his initial plan to become an Army Nurse, James made the logical move into comedy. After commuting to London 3 days per week to take comedy classes, James was accepted onto the Comedy Writing & Performance degree at the University of Salford, despite his only acting experience being trying to get into shots of one of Romesh Ranganathan's promotional videos, graduating with a First in 2023.
After making his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with SalFUNNI in 2022, James co-founded the comedy troupe Glass Crumpet, who have since gone on to perform regular shows across Manchester, and have brought four shows to the subsequent Edinburgh Fringes.
After being diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at the age of 25, James uses his unique experiences and way of seeing the world to create writing and stand-up that demonstrates just how absurd life really can be.
