Summer is on the way and the festival season is hotting up, with Assembly Festival announcing a further 110 shows for this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The nominations have been announced for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Awards 2019 [formerly the Barry Awards, recently renamed following Barry Humphries recent comments that were considered transphobic]. The nominations for the most outstanding show are Anne Edmonds, Cassie Workman, Geraldine Hickey, James Acaster, Nath Valvo and Tom Allen.
