Gordon Barr, Newcastle Chronicle, 28th July 2017Gavin Webster dishes out the laughs
With a superb delivery, Gavin Webster's show never looked scripted. Indeed, it bordered at times on the anarchic but he was able to constantly keep it on track by inserting a killer gag when it could possibly have become too loose.
Ed Waugh, Newcastle Chronicle, 16th May 2016Jesterval 2016: Comedy line up

Sam Fonwor, Newcastle Chronicle, 10th March 2016Seven questions with... Gavin Webster
As the proud owner of the title of Comedian's Comedian 2014, an award voted for by comedians themselves, Gavin Webster has had a busy year.
Becca Moody, Moody Comedy, 13th January 2016Like Newsjack, The Show What You Wrote is a comedy show made up of sketches sent in by listeners: a bit like a modern version of Week Ending, though the producers and performers (such as John Thomson, Shobna Gulati and Gavin Webster) are well established. It's only the writers who aren't. You can't tell though: the sketches, chosen from thousands that are sent in by listeners, are on a par with other Radio 4 shows. It's almost impossible to write good jokes for people you don't know already, and yet The Show What You Wrote has an audience that manages to do just that. I hope the writers go on to great things, like writing (better) jokes for Michael McIntyre, or maybe, for themselves.

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 12th December 2015Gavin Webster: The Sexist's Sexist, Edinburgh preview
Gavin Webster is a comedian I have very much looked forward to seeing in the flesh, having made him my Comedian Of The Month last August. I finally managed to catch a preview of this high-energy Geordie comic's latest show The Sexist's Sexist at the MAC in Birmingham.

Jamie Diffley, Newcastle Chronicle, 25th July 2015Review: Jesting About, Live Theatre, Newcastle
Jesting About has already featured such comedy luminaries as Gavin Webster, Ben Crompton, Holly Burn, Rob Gilroy and John Scott, and some stand out performers from this round of talent search are surely destined for a very bright future.
