Comedy stars voice Sky's The Night Before Christmas In Wonderland
A range of comedy stars voice a new animated film coming to Sky next month.
Family-friendly animation The Night Before Christmas In Wonderland is based on a best-selling book written by Carys Bexington, illustrated by Kate Hindley and published by Macmillan, which mixes the classic stories of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Clement Clarke Moore's poem, 'Twas The Night Before Christmas.
Hollywood star Gerard Butler leads as St Nick, with The Queen of Hearts voiced by Emilia Clarke. Alice is played by Simone Ashley.
When St Nick receives a delayed letter on Christmas Eve from the Princess of Hearts. He and his dedicated team of reindeer set off to Wonderland where they're greeted by the mean and miserable Queen of Hearts who hates all things Christmas... especially presents! Can St Nick, aided by Alice, the Mad Hatter and March Hare, show the Queen the true meaning of Christmas and save the day before it's too late?
Directed by Peter Baynton, the rest of the cast includes Mawaan Rizwan as the Mad Hatter, Mackenzie Crook as the White Rabbit, Asim Chaudhry as the March Hare and singer/songwriter Mae Muller as reindeer Prancer.
Additionally, Simon Day plays the Dodo, Tom Allen is the Fish Barrister, and Lenny Rush voices Colin the Reindeer. Nicolas Hamilton, half-brother of Formula 1 driver Lewis and a racing driver in his own right, is the Card Guard and Eliza Riley plays the Princess of Hearts.
Director Baynton says: "Mawaan Rizwan and Asim Chaudhry were hilarious in the recording booth, with so many daft ad-libs that I wish we could have included in the film, and I can't remember when I last laughed so much as when Tom Allen was recording his lines for the Fish Barrister. His character deserves a legal-drama spin-off."
The musical family feature debuts on Sky Cinema on 13th December 2024.
