Paul Jackson celebrates The Two Ronnies
Prolific television producer, director and commissioner Paul Jackson is to celebrate The Two Ronnies on Monday 3rd June.
Appearing in discussion with BFI TV consultant Dick Fiddy, it is the first of two events during 2024. Later in the year he will return to discuss The Young Ones and Red Dwarf.
Both live gigs also offer meet-and-greet opportunities and will take place at the renowned Phoenix Arts Club in Central London, with tickets for June's Two Ronnies celebration now on sale.
Producers Misty Moon say: "Paul started his career at the BBC in the seventies, working on shows such as The Two Ronnies, Top Of The Pops, The Generation Game and Blankety Blank. He has a distinguished record as a programme maker. His hits include cult sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf, Three Of A Kind, and The Young Ones, all for the BBC; Girls On Top for Central and Don't Miss Wax and Saturday Live for Channel 4.
"This special gig celebrates his time working on The Two Ronnies. Joining Paul on stage will be his friend and BFI Archive TV Programmer Dick Fiddy. With clips from the archives Paul and Dick will relive some of the best moments from this BBC classic. There will also be special guests who will be talking about their time on the show, including Hammer and Bond beauty Madeline Smith."
