Sue Perkins to host new Channel 4 game show
Comedian and television presenter Sue Perkins will host a new game show for Channel 4.
Double Your Money will challenge members of the public to grow a small initial pot of cash, according to The Sun.
A cross between a traditional money-prize quiz show and The Apprentice, the format sees pairs of contestants come together on day one to receive their modest starting fund. The clock then starts ticking on their challenge: to make even more money within a set timeframe or be eliminated.
The duos are given complete freedom over how to spend their opening balance, devising "smart strategies, bold hustles and ingenious ideas" to turn their initial sum into a fortune.
As the competition progresses, each round increases the cash target teams must achieve and extends the time they have to do it.
The pair that makes the most money by the allocated deadline will win a large cash prize to add to their final pot.
Channel 4 has yet to confirm detail of the series.
