The five worst comedy acts of 2015
Including Frankie Boyle, Lee Nelson and a comedy night in support of Jeremy Corbyn.
Rupert Hawksley, The Telegraph, 18th December 2015Frankie Boyle on Isis and air strikes
The most effective way to defeat Isis is to lock them up in a cell and deny them martrydom and glory. No paradise, no virgins - just a guard wishing them a bland good morning, and a regular change of towels.
Frankie Boyle, The Guardian, 4th December 2015Frankie Boyle on the fallout from Paris
"This is the worst time for society to go on psychopathic autopilot."
Frankie Boyle, The Guardian, 24th November 2015Frankie Boyle, Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry, review
What are we? Only a handful of shell-shocked hours from the Paris attacks. That's soon enough, apparently, for Frankie Boyle to make light-hearted reference to the deadliest acts of terrorism France has seen in decades. "UKIP must have felt conflicted..." he observes, as the audience at the Warwick Arts Centre shift uncomfortably in their seats. "'We hate Muslims but on the other hand, they're killing French people.'" It gets a laugh.
Dominic Cavendish, The Telegraph, 16th November 2015Frankie Boyle: Your choices for president
The US election feels a bit like The X Factor - they've thrown in a few wildcards in the early rounds to keep it entertaining but we'll soon be back to two candidates belting out the same tired standards.
Frankie Boyle, The Guardian, 4th November 2015Frankie Boyle review - sick jokes used as hand grenades
Boyle delivers his vicious one-liners as palate cleansers between heartfelt routines beating us for our bovine acquiescence to political authority.
Brian Logan, The Guardian, 23rd October 2015Frankie Boyle review
In what might be a first for him, there is a short personal anecdote in among all the pungent one-liners and angry rhetoric, when the recovering alcoholic recalls a run-in with an American cop from his drinking days.
Steve Bennett, Chortle, 23rd October 2015Frankie Boyle: Britain clings to its bombing addiction
Turning Libya into a jihadi Mad Max should have cured Britain's habit. But, instead of entering recovery, Cameron is just looking to score another hit in Syria.
Frankie Boyle, The Guardian, 21st October 2015Luke McQueen interview
He packed out a gig by pretending Frankie Boyle was performing. His new show settles a score with Jack Whitehall. And this unpredictable standup even hijacks the interview process.
Ryan Gilbey, The Guardian, 15th October 2015Frankie Boyle, Music Hall, Aberdeen, review
Dense with purposeful provocation and first-rate comedy.
David Pollock, The Independent, 11th October 2015
