Review: Lee Mack, Eventim Apollo

Amiable comic races through a disappointing set.

Veronica Lee, The Arts Desk, 23rd October 2014

Lee Mack review

Lee Mack miraculously bridges the gap between alternative and mainstream, even if at times he is a whisker away from mother-in-law material.

Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard, 21st October 2014

John Cleese review: 'depressing whinge'

Watching him, big-bellied, stiff-gaited, huffing and puffing about what the papers said, I couldn't help mourning what had slipped away since the days of student japes and silly walks.

Dominic Cavendish, The Telegraph, 20th October 2014

Lee Mack review

This is comedy that time forgot - meticulous, gag-heavy tomfoolery with a great sense of attack.

Brian Logan, The Guardian, 20th October 2014

Comedy review: Lee Evans: Monsters, Glasgow

The debate as to whether venues the size of The Hydro offer a satisfying experience of live comedy never seems appropriate for Lee Evans, one of the longest established of the arena comics, and one of the few who truly benefits from such a vast canvas.

Jay Richardson, The Scotsman, 18th October 2014

John Cleese: 'I've found true love - in a fish'

Is John Cleese happy? "Enormously happy. Because I've finally found true love. Which is a fish and three cats. I call Jenny 'Fish' because of the way she swims. She's the most beautiful swimmer I've ever seen."

Matthew Stadlen, The Telegraph, 13th October 2014

Review: All Stars of Comedy, Glee Club

The entire show was compiled of race-based comedy, which made the audience crease regardless of colour. It is a nice feeling to be in a room and feel completely shameless, embracing an atmosphere that saw at least a hundred people leave all prejudices behind to enjoy the feeling of laughing together. The evening was filled with down-to-earth comedy of a kind that almost made you feel bad to laugh, but you couldn't help yourself. It was full to the brim with raucous and cheeky performances that will stay with the audience for days.
