True, Matthew Carter is suitably endearingly foppish as Wooster, and the use of Jeeves to produce and remove props as needed plays to the character's famed resourcefulness. But beyond that, the need to constantly refer to the conceit only detracts from the comedy of Wodehouse's farcical situations.
