Boarders is great fun, but don't underestimate the power of its comedy

The strength of the new BBC comedy-drama is how its message transgresses age.

Group, BBC One Scotland, review

The problem with Group is it lacks laughs. There are moments when you will smile, particularly at the passive-aggressiveness of some of the female characters ("You're the one person who will never be too busy to pick up the phone"), but laugh out loud moments come there none.

Group: Addict comedy to be Scotland's Friends?

It is the new Scottish comedy billed as Scotland's answer to Friends, but with one significant difference - all the characters are addicts of some kind. New York-born writer and director Annie Griffin, creator of the hit Channel 4 series The Book Group, has joined forces with Scottish crime writer Denise Mina to create a show set at a weekly therapy session.

W1A: Why this final series might be the best yet.

I'm just a little upset that this is the final series as, from what I've seen, W1A is arguably the BBC funniest comedy that's currently on screen and I'm just wondering if the reason its leaving the screens is because of Morton's ability to spoof the company that's actually in charge of recommissioning his brilliant sitcom.
