Thanks to everyone who came along to the Pub Olympics recording last night. I keep being asked what the show is. Um. It's a one off for Radio 2. It's not about beer mat flipping or anything like that because, well, because it's a one off for Radio 2. I can't imagine beer mat flipping makes for great radio. I might be wrong.

But it is silly. And it's a panel show of sorts. The sort that we imagined might be called The Pub Olympics in a world where the Pub Olympics is far more important than that other Olympics you might have heard about.

Panellists for new series of Heresy announced

Heresy, in which a panel of broadcasters pick apart everyday assumptions, will be bolstered by the presence of Peep Show star David Mitchell, Supersizer Sue Perkins, Googlewhacker Dave Gorman, actress Maureen Lipman, Private Eye medical correspondent Dr Phil Hammond and the moustachioed comedian Rufus Hound for its upcoming run.

Tom Cole, Radio Times, 18th November 2011

Dilemma (Radio 4, 7.45pm) is a new panel show, hosted by inescapable Sue Perkins, a sort of Moral Maze for the lace-loosened, in which comedians Dave Gorman and Richard Herring, actress and writer Rebecca Front and pithy columnist Dominic Lawson discuss such questions as "Would you provide an alibi for someone you hate?" Sketch show comedy and topical satire have so far not exactly flourished in this slot. Management fingers will be crossed for this, hoping that the audience hasn't already scuttled off to other channels.

Dave Gorman's Powerpoint presentation - interview

The Gorman-hunting, Googlewhacking comedian prepares to present his latest high-concept show.

Professor of Ignorance and owner of The Museum of Curiosity John Lloyd (perhaps better known as the producer of Blackadder and QI) returns with a new curator, Dave Gorman, to help extract descriptions of bequests from prospective benefactors. This episode's objects are donated by atheist theologian Francesca Stavrakopoulou, mathematician Alex Bellos and comedian Jimmy Carr. These highly intelligent guests are happy to sink to unimaginable depths of taste in both their conversation and their choices, but it makes for truly wicked comedy - especially when one guest bequeaths God!

My Edinburgh: Dave Gorman, comedian

Something odd happens to performers during the Fringe. They lose any sense of perspective. For three weeks they become even more self-obsessed than normal.
