Chris Ramsey to co-host I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp
Comedian Chris Ramsey is to co-host I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp, the new ITV2 companion show to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
Ramsey is one of the four presenters named today for the new format. He'll be joined for the live broadcasts each night by Joe Swash, Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison. Whilst Ramsey has not appeared on the main reality show, his co-hosts are all former winners.
Speaking about joining the show, he says: "I'm a big fan of I'm A Celeb. I watch and talk about it every year, so it will be a delight to do it as a job this year in Australia! And it's an absolute bonus that I won't have to taste Kangaroo anus."
The channel says: "This year on ITV2 it's all change for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here with a new name, a new set and new gang of jungle super fan presenters.
"All four hosts are straight talking, jungle fanatics who will bring their own unique take on what's happening in camp, with none of them afraid to speak their mind as they dissect the day's drama.
"There will be a friendly rivalry as Joe, Chris, Stacey and Vicky compete to bring viewers the most exclusive behind the scenes access, as they delve deeper into camp life than ever before. Expect unseen clips, exclusive interviews and the hosts facing their fears in the bush tucker trials. Plus the rivalry continues as they take each other on in live studio games where anything could happen.
"The hosts will be joined in Australia by celebrity guests, as well as live link ups with the UK to hear from other famous faces.
"Viewers are invited to join the lively debates via social media and the app as well as putting their questions directly to the campmates live in the studio once they've left the jungle. And of course, the men who know everything there is to know about that famous celebrity camp, Ant & Dec, will be dropping by to give their thoughts on each show."
The new series of I'm A Celeb starts this autumn. It's not Ramsey's only TV project at the moment. He's also filming a new stand-up series based around social media for Comedy Central, titled Feeding Chris Ramsey.
