Kiss Me Kate (BBC1) is a perfectly pleasant sitcom with a strikingly funny performance by the co-writer, Christopher Langham. It's not that he writes all the best lines for himself but more that his delivery is as flat as the line on a heart monitor when someone in a soap has snuffed it.
