Writer, actor and comedian from Southend-On-Sea.
My main achievement is the crime sitcom 'Scumbags' set in Basildon. I wrote every episode and played the lead role of Dean 'Deano' Tucker. 'Scumbags' follows the lives of 4 young people (Deano, Wibble, Frosty and JJ) as they duck and dive through the Essex criminal underworld. Best described as 'Lock Stock' meets 'Shameless', this is an edgy sitcom with elements of dark humour. It has been featured in local newspaper (Essex Echo) and I even appeared on The James Whale Show (BBC Radio Essex) to discuss the furore that it caused. The first episode was filmed in 2014, but was then revamped after a 4-year absence in 2018 with an additional six episodes!
Aside from writing comedy, I also have performed as stand-up comedy at Torriano's, The C-Word Comedy Club (Kent), Comedy Virgins and Downstairs at the Kings Head. I am a graduate from the University of Essex in Media studies and TV Production.
I have also attended the Young Actor's Theatre in Islington, where I completed a short course in acting which involved regular improv and character acting.
