Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 13th March 2017Opinion: should Spitting Image return?
Every time Donald Trump is in the news you can be pretty sure that someone somewhere will post something on social media similar to the following: "Economic problems, loose cannon in the White House, female Prime Minister, Labour Party in disarray. It's the eighties all over again. What we really need is Spitting Image back."
Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 12th March 2017Interview: rarely asked questions - Anna Mann
Anna Mann is not really a comedian. She is a veritable artiste who has been in showbusiness for almost as long as Joan Collins. She has recently branched out while she waits for her next big acting job and is offering advice to anyone suffering from black dog in her latest soiree, A Sketch Show For Depressives. Mann is helped in her quest by chameleon character comic Colin Hoult, who you should know from Revolting and Murder In Successville. Have you twigged yet? What I'm saying is that Anna Mann is the creation/alter ego of the brilliant Colin Hoult and is bloody funny as well as a bit scary. Can I make myself any clearer?

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 9th March 2017Review: This Country, Episode 5, BBC Three
We can laugh at the antics of the people in This Country - it is hard to decide who is more hopeless this week out of Kerry and Kurtan - but that doesn't mean we haven't also grown to care about them over these episodes. One more week to go, but hopefully there will be another series.

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 8th March 2017TV Review: Catastrophe, Series 3 Episode 2
Anyway, there's lots going on in this week's episode but the nicest aspect is the extremely watchable chemistry between Sharon and Rob.
