The Generation Game review

I probably have seen a worse television programme than The Generation Game but I have to be honest, nothing immediately springs to mind.

Cambridge Footlights president Ruby Keane resigns

Footlights President Ruby Keane said that her resignation was a protest against the system for nominating Footlights members and the lack of opportunities for aspiring comedians from non-white backgrounds. Footlights has faced accusations that its committee -- fewer than a dozen people deemed to be official members -- is too white. Daniel Kitson pays for fan's MOT

During the gig, however, Kitson was engaging in his traditional banter with the audience and asked one fan, Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, about their day after a friend shouted out that it was Morgan's birthday. They explained that they had just taken their car for its annual MOT earlier and than it had failed the test and run up a considerable repair bill. Kitson was so moved by their story that he decided to combine his fee and the fee Tony Law - who was supposed to headline - would have received if he had also done the gig.

TV review: In The Long Run, Sky One

Some potentially interesting plotlines are set up in the first of six episodes. It'll be interesting to see how they play out.

Review: James Acaster, Repertoire

Recap, like the other shows, is exquisitely crafted. Nobody puts a sentence together quite like Acaster.
