Some comedy festivals announce they will happen in 2021
The producers of Leicester Comedy Festival and The UK Kids' Comedy Festival have announced that they are going to go ahead with the 2021 events, with support from a significant number of friends and special guests.

Just the Tonic in Nottingham is to stage a live indoor show on Thursday July 30 - the day after the Frog And Bucket in Manchester puts on a comedy gig. Tickets are available for both shows. The Nottingham show will feature Ed Byrne, Daisy Earl, Scott Bennett and Quincy.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced that Tim Minchin will be opening and closing this year's star-studded Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards 2020 with a special musical performance.
Ahead of the BBC One show, comedian Tom Allen is also announced today as host of the Virgin Media BAFTA TV Pre-Show, which will stream live on BAFTA's social channels (YouTube, Twitter and Facebook) from 18:00 BST, leading up to the main event.
