Boothby Graffoe - #TFAYCD
Musical comedian Boothby Graffoe's single, #TFAYCD ("There's F*ck All You Can Do").
With its acerbic take on, well, the state of things, and a catchy sing-along refrain, #TFAYCD features the lyrics "We make the rules / we break the rules / there's f*ck all you can do". "We always act too late / we watch the horse bolt then we run to close the gate / If you need PPE we'll buy it from a mate".
Following its beginnings as a homemade acoustic track, #TFAYCD went viral, astonishingly clocking up over half a million views on Twitter. It is also only the second song ever to be quoted in the House of Lords.
Graffoe has since employed the musical talents of Nick Pynn (violin, banjo), Ivan Hellovanitch (piano, effects), Liam McKinnon (cajon) and Michal Kais (bass) for the release.
Graffoe says: "For less than the price of a cup of coffee you can enjoy this mellifluously melodic refrain at your leisure and help it reach the fabled number 2 slot in the charts".
